Empathy
Take some time in the beginning to get to know each other. This will make it easier to communicate and work together. You may like to start with a getting-to-know-you activity.
Be mindful that your group members may have family or work commitments, so they may not be able to respond to messages or emails straightaway.
Sometimes you will encounter a group member who is not contributing. Maybe they are shy or maybe they don’t understand the task. Reach out and see if they are ok. If you can’t contact your group member, let your lecturer or tutor know as they may need extra support.
