The Learning Lab has been rebuilt. Over 700 pages have been redesigned, rewritten and reorganised, with a focus on making the site clearer to read, easier to navigate and more accessible.
What's changed
The content itself has been overhauled — simpler language for a diverse audience, shorter paths through each topic so you spend less time getting to what you need, and unattributed images replaced. Accessibility issues have been fixed throughout, and you can read more on the Accessibility page.
Finding your way around
A new homepage with a simpler set of starting points, designed to work on any screen size.
A menu at the top-right of every page, which you can open and close at any time.
A navigation panel on the right of each content page, so you always know where you are within a section.
Previous and next buttons at the bottom of each page, so you can move through a topic in order.
Links to further resources where they exist, if you want to go deeper or see a real-world example.
Further resources now sit below the main content rather than interrupting it, so the flow of a page isn't broken.
Using our content elsewhere
Any page can be embedded directly into Canvas or another website, without the header and footer.
Creative Commons licensing, so the Learning Lab works as an open educational resource you can reuse in other contexts.
