Benchmarking tools

Two benchmarking tools and a user guide have been developed to evaluate the implementation of distributed leadership. The first  is an interactive web-based tool that presents the various benchmarks as a series of pages that can be completed as pdf print outs. The second tool is an online version of the benchmarking process that takes the user through each of the phases of the benchmarks. It builds up to a complete set of benchmarks for the activity under question, which can then be printed off.

A user guide on benchmarking has been designed to assist colleauges to utilise the strategic potential of distributed leadership to build leadership capacity in their area. Employed in conjunction with the ASERT, the benchmarks for distributed leadership will help to identify actions required to enable and evaluate a distributed leadership approach.
