There are big cases with millions of dollars involved. But what of corruption on a smaller scale - does it matter? Does it matter as much?
Think about the following questions and whether you think these incidents should be reported to the proper authority or whether you would let it go, as they just aren't that big on the scale of things.
- Use a cab voucher issued at work for personal use?
- Make sure well qualified people's job applications do not get short listed so your friend has a better chance?
- You are pulled over by the policy for speeding - if you pay $200 your speeding ticket will disappear?
- Your swimming pool fence that you just put in doesn not comply with council regulations, but for $100 the inspector will let it go?
- A friend did the subject you are doing last year. The lecturer has set the same essay, which your friend is selling for $20?
