Eye care
Like other muscles in the body, your eye muscles can suffer from the effects
of tension and tiredness. Here is some advice to prevent eyestrain.
- It's a good idea to regularly look away from your computer
screen and focus on a distant object in order to allow the focussing
muscles in your eyes to relax. This reduces eyestrain.
- Blink often. Blinking stimulates the tear ducts and increases moisture
in the eye.
- If you suspect you may have a vision problem, you should consult
your optometrist. Uncorrected vision problems may cause eye discomfort
when working at a computer.
