The Macquarie dictionary defines "unconscionable" as "not in accordance with what is just or reasonable". Read the following scenario and think about what the Customer Service Officer can do to avoid acting unconscionably.

Wilma talkingMrs Wilma Roberts is a widow. Her husband looked after her finances and she admits to getting very confused when it comes to managing money. Wilma wants to change banks in order to reduce fees. When speaking with the Customer Service Officer she reveals that her average monthly balance is generally around $250 and she visits a branch up to two times a week.

Wilma wants to apply for a savings account that requires a minimum monthly balance of $500 to avoid a service fee. The account also only offers a maximum of two free over the counter withdrawals.
