Identifying resistors
This reinforcement activity will help you identify resistors relative to type, colour code, tolerance and power capacity.
Complete the activity by:
- answering the questions
- performing the practical task.

Practical task
At your workplace or training environment, test at least 10 resistors.
For each resistor:
- identify its resistance value by colour code
- identify its tolerance percentage by colour code
- measure the actual resistance with a multimeter
- determine if the resistor value is within acceptable range
- show your results to your trainer.
