Introduction
As part of day to day work electricians need to wire buildings and appliances. Information relating to the wiring of these can be supplied in a variety of formats including:
- site plans
- floor plans
- block diagrams
- circuit diagrams

- cable schedules.
Using diagrams
You need to know how to read and interpret all of these formats, as well as be able to draw diagrams. You also need to be familiar with the variety of switching circuits used for lighting.
