Joining techniques

Fasteners

In the electrical trade, there will be the requirement to join or fix components to a range of different materials. A wide variety of fasteners is available for these purposes. Following is a selection of some of the common fasteners used:

  • screws and metal threads
  • bolts, nuts and washers
  • masonry fasteners
  • nails
  • hollow wall anchors
  • pop rivets.
