Safety
There are safety risks associated with the use of all power tools. Some are more dangerous than others, but as a general rule the following precautions should always be observed.
- Read the operating instructions carefully.
- Don't wear loose clothing.
- Long hair must be tied back or in a hair net.
- Always wear safety glasses.
- Use a face or dust mask if the cutting operation is dusty.
- Wear ear protection for noisy operations.
- Do not use power tools in explosive atmospheres.
- Never carry a mains power tool by the cord, or tug the cord to disconnect it.
- Protect power cords from heat, oil and sharp edges.
- Don't expose power tools to rain.
- Use power tools and attachments for the job they are designed to do.
- Disconnect mains power when tools are not in use.
- Disconnect mains power or remove the battery before servicing, adjusting or when changing accessories such as blades.
- Maintain tools with care. Keep tools sharp and clean at all times for best and safest performance. Follow instructions on lubricating and changing accessories.
- Store in supplied carry case.
- Avoid accidental starting. Don't carry a plugged-in tool with a finger on the switch. Be sure the switch is off before plugging in.
- When using a mains power tool at a distance from the power source, an extension cord of adequate size must be used for safety,and to prevent loss of power and overheating.
- Before using cords, inspect them for loose or exposed wires and damaged insulation.
