Physical

When excessive current flows through a person it may result in muscular contractions, severe internal burns and cardiac arrest. The severity of the electrical shock depends on a number of factors including:

  • the amount of current
  • the resistance of the body
  • the time in contact with supply.

The physical effects of current have advantages and disadvantages. Advantages include uses as a diffibulator or nerve tester. Disadvantages include potential to cause death and severe injury.
