Six steps for risk control

As part of the risk management process, a sequence of six steps from highest priority to lowest priority has been determined by WorkCover authorities. These six steps are known as control measures and are designed to help minimise the risk of injury on building sites.


There may be an easy solution to some of the hazards in your workplace. If the problem is more complex, seek advice from others in your industry who may have had experience with these issues. Alternatively, check EPA The Environment Protection Authority (EPA) in each state is the organisation responsible for legislation that protects the environment from pollution and environmental damage. publications and state EPA websites for relevant information.
