Apply contract conditions to schedules

The building contract is the starting point for finding information about materials and labour to be used on a project.

This diagram has components linked by arrows. The builder and customer both have arrows leading to the contract. From the contract, five arrows branch out to the following information: Commencement date, Completion date, Contract price, Building specifications, Penalties for breaches.

The information in the contract provides details of what is needed for the project. Everything is written down so that the client and the builder are both clear about the expected outcome of the project. This reduces the chance for uncertainty or disputes which can lead to delays.
