Many new jobs created over the last 20 years involve complex "knowledge work". Knowledge work includes identifying, generating, analysing and using information, problem solving, decision making, design, research - it encompasses a wide range of tasks and jobs.
Creativity and innovation are crucial features of a knowledge economy. Universities, employers and governments are keen to promote creativity and innovation – however, it can be tricky to decide how and what to teach or learn because creativity is often regarded as a personal quality.
Some programs talk about the need to be creative...but not about HOW to be creative, or how to use processes that are likely to lead to creative and innovative outcomes.
The activities in this module are designed to help you:

- adopt processes that can foster creativity in your personal life and work life
- plan some activities that can enhance your creativity
- develop creative approaches to decision making and problem solving.
