What does it mean to be creative?
Here are two high profile examples of collaborative processes that are regarded as creative. Both involve social media:
- Occupy Sandy: a grassroots response to the Superstorm Sandy in the US. Using social media, people organised everything from using exercise bikes to recharge mobile phones to the physical clean up.
- Similarly, after the London riots in 2011, social media was used to coordinate hundreds of people to help clean up
Can you think of another example – perhaps local to your community? Or a local business? It doesn’t have to involve social media – but what purposeful, collaborative process or system can you identify in your life?
