Overview of using the
AI-Search Animation Software

  • The AI-Search animation software is written in Java and allows you to view a graphical depiction of a range of different state space search methods in action whilst solving your choice of 8-Puzzle problems.

  • Further details about the menus, controls, and display modes are presented in the next several sections.

  • In order to view an animated search you must:

    1. Choose Algorithm (and heuristic)
    2. Choose Problem
    3. Choose (display) Mode
    4. Click Start
