While Tier 2 qualified staff (such as CSO’s and Account Managers) may not give advice on or recommend term deposit products, they may:

  • Provide factual information (eg the current interest rate) and
  • Accept applications from customers providing no advice is given - for example, you could accept and process an application from a customer who wants to invest $5,000 in a term deposit at the current interest rate for three years.
